Career or personal life - what would you choose?

In the last few months I've had quite the epiphany. There was a lot going on in my life both personally and professionally, and I had to make a decision.

Choosing between your career and your personal life seems like a no brainer. But things like mortgage, wedding plans and securing a financial future all come into the long-winded equation.

So what did I choose? I chose my personal life and health. Career will always find a spot in your life, it's just the way life works.

Resigning from a well paying job in the city with nothing to fall back on is daunting to say the least. But for one reason or another, everything always seems to work out. My dad recently told me "Leola, good things always seem to come your way". Having said that I have had my fair share of tribulations, but at the end of the day I believe that if you open yourself up to life's possibilities - things will naturally find their place.

Since leaving my last job I have developed my own set of personal goals and career aspirations - I know EXACTLY what I need to do over the next few years. I can't begin to explain how excited that makes me. The possibilities really are endless and your imagination will take you wherever you want to go if you allow it.

I saw an interesting quote the other day - "You were not put on this earth to work hard to pay bills". So true. Live with purpose and belief in yourself. If that means finding a good job and working hard - then make sure you love what you do and you do it with passion!

Love life!
