Please don't waste a life for living

We live in a world where photos of my breasts
will bring more attention than words of empowerment and motivation
Where young girls objectify themselves,
yet become surprised when immersed in sentiments of fake adoration.

We live in a world where we can't raise our children
in a way that we see fit.
With arguments about vaccines, education, discipline and equality
it's hard to understand the different views - isn't it?

We live in a world where our worth is determined by digits,
where our bank balance lives on screen, not in your hand.
A man made piece of paper,
yet the only form of currency all races understand.

We live in a world where wealth is acquired by
fancy cars, handbags, shoes and extravagant lifestyles.
But we can't seem nor want to take them when we die
we only yearn for the warmth of our loved ones smiles.

They say you only understand the true meaning of life
when you have been faced with death.
Please don't waste a life for living,
to only realise it at your last breath.
